We are committed to ensuring your visit is enjoyable, welcoming and physically accessible.
To help you feel as comfortable as possible when visiting us, we’ve created a visual stories guide. This includes photographs and descriptions which talk you through what to expect when visiting Cardboard Citizens. We hope it will help to reduce any anxiety someone might be feeling ahead of their visit.
Step-free Access
The main entrance to our office is step free. We have a passenger lift which services each level of our office.
Wheelchair User Access
Our office and main space is accessible to wheelchair users.
The lift door height is 2000mm and internal dimensions are 1500 x 1400mm
Accessible Parking
Unfortunately, we do not have accessible parking near us. However, if you need to, limited on-street parking spots are available along Hoxton Street (£3.60 an hour Mon-Fri 7.30am-6.30pm). Please note that on Saturdays the street is closed due to the lovely Hoxton Street Market. We are within the Ultra Low Emissions Zone and close to the boundary of the Congestion Charging Zone, so please check your route before driving here.
Accessible Toilets
Well-maintained Accessible Toilets are available on all levels.
Assistance Animals
Assistance animals are welcome in all areas of our office. However for them to come into workshops, we need to have prior notice.
Other
We welcome Members who need to bring medicines, medical equipment, food or drink to manage a medical condition. If you have any concerns about being allowed entry with any items you require, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
All our workshops are relaxed. If you need to leave a workshop at any time for any reason, please do. We have a breakout space for this purpose if you would like to use it.
We work in a trauma informed way and will try to accommodate your needs. If you would like to discuss any access needs before visiting us, please drop our Membership Manager Rachel an email at rachel@cardboardcitizens.org.uk
