Writers’ Circle is a long-running twice monthly group session open to all Members with any level of expertise with creative writing. We aim to provide a safe environment where each is able to hone and/or develop writing skills through fun, interactive and sometimes thought-provoking activities to enable creativity to that inner voice we all have.

This is a very supportive group where peer-critique for each piece shared is given in a non-confronting manner. The workshops enable participants to share their creative writing, no matter the level of skill and encourages and validates each piece shared. Each session has a focus which is then practised in the session and sometimes discussed as a group.  Freeing the inner voice through this creative means allows for greater mental health and ability to better tolerate the isolated circumstances some of experience.

Who are these workshops for?

The workshops are separated into two groups: the beginner’s Skill Up sessions are for Members who want to try out writing and discover your writing skills. The other – which can be found here – is for those who feel experienced with creative writing to focus on writing projects.

Both workshop groups are for inducted Members of Cardboard Citizens only. If you are unsure whether you are a registered Member please email Bonny@cardboardcitizens.org.uk.
