Cardboard Citizens has joined forces with a host of other organisations (With One Voice festival, St Mungos and The Reader) to produce resources aimed at organisations working with homeless people temporarily housed in hotels through the COVID-19 outbreak. We want to trial ways to work creatively together with former rough sleepers now temporarily housed and in strict isolation.

The resources help those currently housed in hotels to explore their creative interests through reading and engaging with artistic opportunities offered by these organisations. Already this project has resulted in book donations and art packs being made available for guests. The high level of interest has lead to us working with With One Voice to develop a shared resource for others to use.

This work is more important than ever, with those housed in hotels sometimes finding it difficult to adapt.

Please take a look through the link below, and share with any contacts or organisations that you know that are supporting this vital work through the COVID-19 situation. We will share more about our learnings, around how creativity can be used to support people in isolation conditions.
