We’re delighted to announce the next round of Citz Futures Traineeships, which offers opportunities for three Trainees to work alongside industry professionals in backstage and production roles on Cardboard Citizens’ next production, Faun. The traineeships are aimed at people without significant work experience and with experience of homelessness, poverty and inequity.
These part-time positions are opportunities to develop practical skills, knowledge and networks within the theatre industry. You’ll receive mentoring from theatre professionals and support to help you to build on your experience and make steps towards your next role, in the theatre industry or beyond.
We are recruiting for three Trainees to work in three different areas of the production:
Management – this includes stage management and production management
Producing – This including producing, marketing and audience development.
Technical – This includes the technical aspects of creating a production, the role will also include some elements of Production Management.
Overview
Position: Citz Futures Traineeship
Accountable to: Youth Engagement Manager
Terms: This is a fixed term contract for 16 days’ work over a period of 15 weeks from Monday 30 January – Friday 12 May 2023
Hours: Approx 1 day a week
Location: Cardboard Citizens, 77a Greenfield Road, London, E1 1EJ. (plus travel to Newcastle and other locations in London, travel, accommodation and per diems will be provided for Newcastle)
Salary: £105 per day (Total fee for 16 days over 15 weeks: £1,470)
