We’re pleased to announce a second series of live online conversations about the future of Theatre of the Oppressed, hosted by Citz Artistic Director Adrian Jackson.

The first series of What Now for the Theatre of the Oppressed? brought insights from Brazil, Singapore, Senegal, The Netherlands and Canada, from people who had worked alongside Augusto Boal, and interpreted his methods to challenge oppression in countless different ways.

The second series – starting next Wednesday 19 May at 6pm, and taking place every fortnight – promises even more of this great access to global practitioners, with an opportunity to listen and ask questions alongside your host Adrian Jackson.

We have confirmed guests from Mozambique, Guatemala and Jerusalem, and we start next Wednesday by welcoming Héctor Aristizabal from Colombia.

We can’t wait to build more connections with Theatre of the Oppressed across the globe!
