Each month Cardboard Citizens Members have the opportunity to get together though Writers Circle, our online course aimed at providing a space to write creatively.

This is a poem from one of these sessions, written by one of our Members, Tae.

Just My Age

I wanna live a good life
Be a nice person
But I’m just so full of rage now
is it just my age now?

My mind is playing tricks on me
Wanna take this mask off
Not sure it does any ####ing good
Its 5G innit?
Fills me full of rage now
Is it ….. my age now?

48 and counting, all that
dancing in the fountains
Way back when you still could
Fuck that acceptance crap
Cooperate, compliance
Labelled with defiance…

Issues with my age, o yeah
Fills me full of rage
O YEAH
