This July, the Almeida Theatre will be staging a play about a woman in her 70s and her grandson, taking the shape of a day in their lives and a road trip around numerous different places in Islington.
They’re really keen to meet Members of Cardboard Citizens, get to know you and tell you more about the project. As part of the play’s creation process, they’re really interested in hearing stories and thoughts from anyone who’s ever lived in, spent time in, gone out in, travelled through, or simply had any experience of the borough of Islington.
The session will involve an active, fun workshop, as well as the team from the Almeida sharing information about how you can sign up to get involved with the project. It will be led by director Jack Nurse, joined by the playwright Annie Jenkins and Dani Parr from the participation team at the Almeida Theatre.
If you attended the workshop the Almeida held with us in February this year, please do come along to this one as well to learn more!
