Join Cardboard Citizens for an unmissable evening of storytelling to launch their new anthology – More Than One Story, hosted by award-winning actor and Cardboard Citizens Ambassador, Rory Kinnear, at the Trafalgar Theatre London.
More Than One Story is our first anthology: a ground-breaking collection of new writing from 37 emerging and established writers with lived experience of homelessness, poverty and inequity from across the UK
With homelessness and poverty rising and a widening gap between lived realities and perceptions, More Than One Story shines a light on the resilience, hope, rage and humour that makes these narratives nuanced and complex. Featuring original pieces from Malorie Blackman, Chris Bush, Kayleigh Llewellyn, Michelle De Swarte, Inua Ellams, Matilda Feyisayo Ibini, Joelle Taylor, alongside new works from a national open call – with a foreword by BAFTA award-winning actor, Michael Sheen.
On the night, Rory Kinnear will be joined by Sara Pascoe, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Paterson Joseph, Daisy Lewis, Shon Faye, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Nabhaan Rizwan, Nicôle Lecky, Josh Tedeku, Laura Checkley, Arthur Darvill, Danusia Samal and Liam Williams, with live music from artist Tom Rasmussen. Together with Cardboard Citizens Members, they will share the stage for an evening of readings and music – offering a first chance to experience these powerful monologues performed live.
