In ‘London on Lockdown 1664-2020′ we are reading together a text written by Daniel Defoe. The Journal of the Plague Year, published in 1722 about the outbreak of the Plague in London in 1664. We are using this reading to also reflect on what is happening in people’s lives now.

We have already worked with two groups and are currently working with a third, who will continue to be involved as we work towards a performance or documentation to be presented in early 2021.

Any Member who has not yet been part of this workshop series is welcome to attend this taster workshop. The workshop will last 90 mins and is led by Adrian Jackson, CC’s Artistic Director. Workshops will take place on the internet platform Zoom, involving a group of no more than 10 people.

After this taster workshop, there will be an opportunity to sign up to take part in a series of workshops every Monday and Thursday throughout August and the beginning of September. Please note this will be the final opportunity to join the London on Lockdown project. After this series of sessions we will re-engage with Members from Groups 1-4 to continue to develop this project throughout September to November (more details to follow soon).
