This workshop will explore performance and filmmaking through a variety of creative activities. The workshop will focus on collaboration, play, and creative ways of telling stories together using screen-based performance. The workshop will be run by students from Central Saint Martins who are studying MA Performance: Screen, and will be led by artist, filmmaker and facilitator Chuck Blue Lowry.
The students have been developing their skills as performance filmmakers, and this workshop will be an opportunity for you to work together to explore ideas about capturing stories on camera, combining your skills as performers and storytellers with their camera and filmmaking skills.
At the end of the workshops, there will be an opportunity for you to share feedback with the students about how you found the process, what you enjoyed, and what they could work on further.
Please be aware that sections of the workshop will be recorded as part of the student’s assessment, but this will only be used internally at Central Saint Martins.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to think more about storytelling using digital mediums (audio and visual) and is interested in supporting students to develop their skills as workshop facilitators and collaborative filmmakers.
