This 11-week course covers the building blocks of developing your craft as a writer. Each term will be led by a new artist who will share their practice and support you to develop your own toolkit of writing skills. The course will be run by writer/performer Chantelle Dusette.
Writing starts with you, the individual and importantly your ‘why’, to help you navigate the ‘how’ and be north star of the ‘what.’
Over the eleven weeks, there will be a mixture of self-reflection, self-discovery, reimagining what it means to be a writer on your own terms, as well as practical exercises to help spark the creative process, resulting in development of new work, at any stage.
These weeks are designed to create a space for writers to explore their craft and their connection to it, to help shape/realise writers authentic voices.
As always, spaces are limited, but a waiting list will be offered once all places have been booked. Please only book if you can commit to the entire term – to ensure everyone gets the most out of the course, we’re tightening up on our approach to lateness and absences from now on.
Please note:
- The term will start with an introductory session on Tuesday 23 January, which you must be able to attend in order to take part in the course.
- You can either sign up for Citz Writers or Citz Theatre Makers, but won’t be able to take part in both at the same time.
