Citz Theatre Makers is back, and we’re thrilled to share that this workshop series will be led by director, music maker and facilitator Izzy Rabey.
Over the course of 11 weeks Izzy will share her practice and lead you through a creative and playful exploration of what it means to make theatre.

About Izzy Rabey
Izzy Rabey is a director, music maker and facilitator. She is passionate about new writing and the inclusion of marginalised voices in the process of making the arts more accessible.
Izzy is the first Welsh Trainee Director at The Royal Court Theatre (2020-2021) and was a Associate Artist at Pentabus Theatre Company (2021-2022). As a Director they have toured work to the USA, Hawaii, Brazil and New Zealand and worked with The Royal Court, National Theatre Wales, Sherman Theatre, The Pleasance, Kiln Theatre, Theatre Clwyd and English Touring Theatre. Izzy also directs music videos for multiple music genres ranging from jazz, folk to punk. Izzy’s company Under the Sun/Dan Yr Haul are an Applied Theatre company facilitating bilingual drama workshops at festivals. They also direct stand-up comedy and have worked with comedians such as Tatty Macleod, Jamie Finn and Amy Mason. Izzy has been gigging as a Welsh-language rapper and singer since her teens, and her longest music project is with queer alt-folk punk band The Mermerings.
