In this workshop, Kat Bond will teach you the basics of using improv as a starting point to start devising, creating your own stories and building material for shows and projects. You’ll look at how you can mine and use your own mood, experiences and magic on stage to build more realistic, grounded characters. The workshop will help you find quick ways of freeing yourself, get into a creative space and take away some nerves.
Together, you’ll explore how to become more comfortable committing to both strong and subtle emotional choices, as well as tapping into your own emotional space when you enter rehearsals, auditions and gigs. This will include looking at personal preparation techniques, finding ways to feel comfortable in your own skin and using your own idiosyncrasies to support your improv choices.
