Cardboard Citizens will be taking up residency at Belgrade Theatre this July with a programme of work designed for local people experiencing homelessness. The programme aims to discover the issues homeless people face in Coventry through a series workshops, discussions and performances. The project will culminate in a performance on Friday 23 July, as part of Coventry UK City of Culture 2021. Our arts programme forms a central part of the Caring City of Coventry strand of the festival.
We will follow up this performance with a brand new musical in October – The Ruff Tuff Cream Puff Estate Agency – which will feature a chorus of performers formed from local people with lived experiences of homelessness.
