About the project
We’re excited to share that we are collaborating with the Almeida Theatre in Islington on their next community production – 81 (Life), that will be taking place in summer 2025.
The Almeida Theatre is an exciting professional theatre that supports and engages the local community, young people and aspiring artists.
81 (Life) is part of a three-year community project. Some of our Citz Members were part of the first production, 24 (Day).
81 (Life) will celebrate our community through the moments that mark the rites of passage in a human lifetime; capturing the infinite identities and experiences of people who are born, live, work, love, build families, depart, and are remembered in our borough.
We are one of three community partners that the Almeida Theatre are collaborating with on the production. A group of Cardboard Citizens Members will have the opportunity to be a part of the full-scale community production which will involve joining regular workshops and rehearsals.

About the workshops
Come and join us for some exciting taster workshops, giving you a chance to meet the artists and be creative through a mixture of acting, moving and writing.
The workshops will be run by 2 or 3 artists from the Almeida Theatre and supported by the Cardboard Citz team.
No experience needed, anyone is welcome to come and have some fun!
These workshops are a chance for you to meet the team, learn more about the project and see if you are interested in being a part of it.
