Cardboard Citizens is seeking an Artistic Director and Joint CEO

Salary: £60,000 per annum
Contract: full-time, 5 years fixed term, with option to renew
Location: London, flexible working considered

Cardboard Citizens has been making theatre that activates change for 30 years. We empower people with lived experience of homelessness and strive to change society’s perceptions of homeless people.

At this milestone Cardboard Citizens are looking for an Artistic Director and Joint CEO with a bold and revitalised vision, who can reimagine the company as a both a playmaker and a changemaker for the future.

We invite fresh ideas and would welcome applications from anyone who can demonstrate relevant artistic experience and a knowledge and understanding of theatre for change – this might be directors, creative producers, designers, live artists, writers, agents for change.

The Artistic Director and Joint CEO will create a company that continues to ask difficult questions, inspires debate and galvanises positive change. This is both an exciting and challenging time and we are looking for someone who is an innovative thinker, an ideas generator who thinks deeply about theatre, social justice and new ways of working.
