Citz Associate Artist, Hamish Pirie, will led this one-off fun and explorative workshop, giving Citz Members a flavour of Hamish’s practice.

The Member Forum is an opportunity to come together, hear about Citz’s plans, meet new staff members, share ideas and connect with each other.

In this workshop led by Bolu, we’ll explore the basics of costume design and how clothes can help tell a story on stage. Together we’ll work through how to choose colours, shapes, and styles that express a character’s emotions and journey.

We will use a short script for a hypothetical play to help everyone create their own design for a paper doll. This will let you bring together all your ideas and make a small, personal design to take home!

Neetu Singh (writer of The Surviving Room, More Than One Story) will deliver this Citz Taster workshop on Writing for Screen. Join us for this fun one-off workshop and learn the basics of writing for screen and how this differs from playwriting.

Hi everyone, I am running the London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026 to raise funds for Cardboard Citizens - a charity that transforms the lives of people experiencing homelessness through the power of theatre and the arts. 

UCL supported by Shape Arts are looking to commission a UK-based artist to create an artwork to bring recent urban accessibility research to life. To make these issues visible and tangible; sparking dialogue with the public, challenging assumptions, and influencing policymakers to take meaningful action.

Grierson DocLab: New Entrants is a training programme that helps UK-based new entrants aged 18-25 thrive in the world of factual TV and documentary filmmaking. The initiative takes place over approximately one year and aims to equip 12 successful trainees with the skills, knowledge, confidence and connections to pursue a career in the UK factual TV industry.

This spring, Border Crossings presents SUPPLIANTS OF SYRIA, a powerful new multimedia performance shaped by the voices of Syrian refugee women.

Through filmed testimonies, live performance and audience debate, the production explores how media, prejudice and conscience shape our response to people seeking refuge today. Inspired by a 2,500-year-old Greek play about sanctuary and belonging, the work brings ancient questions into urgent conversation with the present.

Join Hackney Dudes – a free social club for older men who want to meet others, explore London and experience new things together. The Dudes meet every Friday at Dalston Curve Garden with lunch provided and on a weekly Zoom call.

Join Street Elite, an employability programme for women aged 18–25. Each week they deliver a different sport activity along with 1 hour of mentoring. This programme is focused on supporting participants through coaching, skills building, and sustained encouragement. Travel expenses covered.
