Today 15 employees from Capital Group volunteered to spend the day sharing interview tips and CV skills with some of our Citz members.

After an introduction and energetic warm up from Tony, 12 of our members spent the morning getting 1-1 help and advice on applying for jobs and writing CVs. The afternoon was spent in 'Speed Interviewing'. Members were interviewed by four of the Capital Volunteers, and then were given specific tips and advice on interview skills.

Feedback from the group was universally positive, with Capital Group staff celebrating the sharing of experiences and feeling inspired by the day.

Here's some feedback from the members that took part:

"Capital staff were kind, helpful and informative'"

"Informative, crucial advice, and good fun. I hope to continue the mentoring"

"The CV session was extremely efficient, concise advice...I got good advice too from a Risk Assessor"

"The CV session helped me to tweak and update my CV (last done in 2013)"

"The highlight of the day was the level of commitment from everybody"

This Community Action day was the first time we have worked with Capital Group in this way. We hope the success of the day can be repeated in the future!
