The Richmix stage was alight on Sunday night with glittering lights and talent from our Act Now members.  After 12 weeks of weekly sessions working with visiting artists and each other, our Music Lab participants took to the stage as special guests of the Allsortz Open Mic night. They performed original songs that have been produced over the course of Music Lab: singing, rapping and speaking to over 200 people.  The night was an incredible success and all at Cardboard Citizens are very proud of all the hard work, and excited for our musical future!

The performance marks the end of our Music Lab workshops which are part of our Act Now programme for young people. The next workshops will focus on Forum Theatre incorporating spoken word and other aspects of performance, they will take the same format as Music Lab, welcoming in pracitioners and industry professionals each week to run materclasses with the group.

These workshops will be begin in February, please get in touch with Effie if you'd like to be involved or know someone who would. Please email effie@cardboardcitizens.org.uk or call the office on 0207 377 8948. Participants must have experience of homelessnes, be at risk of homelessness or not be in education, employment or training.
